Finding a job

CELTA is recognised worldwide as the gold-standard qualification for new English language teachers. Graduates work in a wide range of settings, including language schools, adult education centres, summer programmes, online platforms and junior programmes in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.
Most people who take a CELTA do so with work and travel in mind. Whether you want to teach locally, work abroad for a year, or build a longer-term career in English language teaching, CELTA gives you a strong foundation and the practical skills employers look for.
As teachers gain experience, many move into specialist roles such as exam preparation, curriculum design, academic management or teacher training. CELTA is the first step on that journey, and our team will support you as you begin your career.
